By utilizing infrared asphalt repair technology we are able to recycle the asphalt in the repair area. Using infrared wavelengths we reheat the asphalt to a temperature of roughly 350˚F at a penetration depth of 1-2.5 inches. Fresh asphalt from our asphalt hotbox is added to the repair area and then is raked, luted, and compacted. Leaving a seamless and thermally bonded transition between the repair area and the surrounding asphalt.
